Job summary

ZAPATA is seeking an Architect II to join our Charlotte, NC or Atlanta, GA offices. A registered architect with broad design and construction phase skills will support diverse Government, Commercial, and Industrial projects.

You will lead design development, coordinate disciplines, review documentation, and manage scopes, schedules, and budgets. The role requires strong communication, project management, and mentoring abilities, with travel as needed and a commitment to quality and client

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture; Master’s preferred.
• Current professional registration.
• 10+ years of Architecture experience.
• NAVFAC/USACE/AFCEC facilities experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the project delivery process for Government, Commercial, and Industrial projects.
• Develop and review design documentation per project expectations.
• Prepare construction drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with disciplines and clients to maintain schedule and budget.
• Mentor/train junior staff and lead issue resolution with project teams.
