Job summary

Davenergy Solutions is seeking a licensed Senior Architect or Senior Engineer to support construction management and technical oversight for complex healthcare facility projects at the Veterans Affairs Pittsburgh Healthcare System.

This role serves as the Government's technical advisor by reviewing project designs, evaluating construction activities, providing engineering expertise, and ensuring projects comply with applicable codes, standards, and contract requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Current Professional Engineer (PE) license in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related discipline OR Current Registered Architect license.
• Minimum six (6) years of professional architectural or engineering experience.
• Experience in both architectural/engineering design and construction administration or construction management.
• Minimum three (3) years of field experience supporting projects of similar scope and complexity.
• Thorough knowledge of building codes, Life Safety Code, construction methods and materials, and federal design standards; risk management.

Responsibilities

• Provide architectural or engineering expertise throughout planning, design, construction, and project closeout.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
• Evaluate contractor proposals and provide professional recommendations.
• Verify compliance with applicable codes and VA design standards.
• Identify technical risks and aid in risk management planning.
• Conduct field observations to verify construction quality and compliance.
• Support construction meetings and provide technical guidance to stakeholders.
• Assist with schedule reviews, cost evaluations, and quality assurance activities.
