Job summary

Capital One seeks a Distinguished Engineer to lead high-impact technical initiatives within the Global Payment Network Technology organization. You will shape cloud-native architectures, drive performance and scalability, and mentor engineers across product teams.

You will collaborate with machine learning experts, product managers, and people leaders to deliver resilient systems for global money movement, while adopting cutting-edge AI tooling to accelerate development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 7+ years in general software and 7+ years in software engineering and solution architecture.
• 10+ years coding in Java, Python, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript, Swift, etc.
• 3+ years of experience with public or private cloud technologies
• 8+ years of networking experience (BGP, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, Cloud Networking, Data Center)
• Experience leveraging interactive AI tooling to accelerate productivity
