Citizens is seeking a Distinguished Architect for Enterprise Stability & Resilience Engineering to lead the definition and execution of architecture, standards, and strategies that enable resilient, secure, and high-performing customer journeys across the enterprise.

The role partners with senior leadership to establish future-state strategy, governance, and automation capabilities that embed resilience-by-design into engineering practices at scale.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of software engineering, solution architecture, or large-scale technology leadership experience.
• Experience designing highly available, fault-tolerant, resilient systems.
• Strong executive communication and strategic leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise architecture vision and strategy for stability and performance engineering.
• Develop reference architectures, patterns, and reusable capabilities to improve resilience.
• Architect resilience across customer journeys, business functions, and tech ecosystems.
• Identify systemic risks and operational dependencies across the enterprise.
• Partner with leadership to set future-state architecture and governance models.
