Job summary

Twilio is seeking a Senior Architect for the Emerging Technologies Experimentation Team. This remote-first role focuses on designing, prototyping, and implementing forward-looking technical solutions to drive next-generation innovation.

Qualifications

15+ years in architecture or principal engineering roles.
Experience with fraud detection and governance frameworks.
Familiarity with AI, ML, and LLMs with deployment experience.
Designing large-scale, high-performance architectures across AWS & Azure.
Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
Excellent communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, Java, Go.
Experience with front-end (React, Angular) and back-end (Node.js, Spring) development.
Deep understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.

Responsibilities

Architect and prototype scalable, high-performance solutions using modern technologies.
Experiment and iterate on new product ideas, leveraging AI, ML, and emerging tech.
Lead technical direction, guiding and mentoring engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle.
Partner cross-functionally to align prototypes with business opportunities and strategic goals.
Mentor a group of software development engineers across US and India.
Communicate technical vision and results clearly to stakeholders and executive leadership.
