We are looking for a motivated self-starter that wants to grow as we grow. As a Senior Data Architect at 3Cloud, you will have the opportunity to work closely with fellow 3Cloud team members to understand our client’s data and analytic needs and use architectures and data solutions that enable analytic capabilities driving their business decisions. This role involves up to 30% travel and requires the candidate to be based in the United States.

Responsibilities:

1. Design Azure-based technical solutions leveraging a broad range of available toolsets with considerations around functionality and performance.
2. Act as team lead on projects, directing the technology process, and managing client relationships and expectations to build trust and credibility.
3. Implement end-to-end data platform solutions for clients, managing scope, cost, and timelines.
4. Author high-quality project documentation and artifacts, including case studies detailing use cases and project specifics.
5. Mentor junior team members and deliver complex projects on time and within budget, proactively mitigating risks.
6. Expand knowledge in multiple tools and technologies.
7. Foster a problem-solving culture through collaboration and partnerships within the organization.
8. Support internal objectives to advance data services design and techniques.
9. Assist the Sales Team with presales efforts, including scope estimates when bandwidth allows.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience architecting data solutions on Azure.
• Ability to create data modernization roadmaps and architect solutions aligning with business and IT needs.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), creating complex pipelines with Azure and On-Prem data stores for full and incremental data loads into a Cloud Data Warehouse.
• Managing Azure Data Lakes (ADLS) and related Azure services.
• Understanding when to use Azure Synapse versus Azure SQL Server/DB, and data loading patterns from blob or ADLS into relational stores.
• Proficiency with Azure DevOps for source control and deployment.
• Results-oriented with a reputation for execution.
• Growth mindset and desire for continuous improvement.
• Comfortable in fast-paced environments and confident in presenting to senior clients.
• Strong sense of responsibility and teamwork skills.
• Excellent communication skills.

Compensation is competitive, with an annual discretionary/utilization bonus. Final salary depends on skills, experience, education, and location, and typically does not reach the top of the range.

Base Salary Range: $14,300 - $210,500 USD
