Job summary

The Crowd, a leading global design practice in New York City, seeks a Senior Architect to lead aviation and airport projects. You will guide concept through construction, owning projects or key packages, and mentor junior staff while collaborating with consultants and external partners.

Strong leadership and technical delivery across schematic to design development, with construction administration experience, are essential.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
10+ years of professional experience, including aviation or related sectors.
Architectural licensure or registration preferred.
Experience on airport terminals or large-scale transportation projects preferred.
Proficiency in Revit and Rhino; Grasshopper familiarity beneficial.

Responsibilities

Contribute to design and delivery of large-scale aviation projects from concept to construction administration.
Develop design proposals and resolve technical challenges across project stages.
Lead projects or packages within multidisciplinary teams.
Coordinate with engineering consultants and external design partners.
Translate concepts into practical solutions for high-traffic airport environments.
Oversee design development and ensure on-time delivery of documentation.
Integrate sustainable design strategies to support low-carbon outcomes.
Mentor junior architects and contribute to studio design culture.
Support business development activities as needed.
