Job summary

ICF is seeking a Senior Archaeologist for our West region with a focus on the Great Basin. The role allows full or partial remote work for candidates across Nevada, Utah, or California.

You will conduct historical research, fieldwork, and report writing, while guiding regulatory compliance efforts under NEPA and NHPA. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, manage project scoping and staffing, and deliver technical services including QA/QC, scheduling, and budgeting to support our

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Anthropology, Archaeology or related field.
• 7+ years of professional experience in cultural resources management.
• Experience working within NEPA and Section 106 regulatory requirements
• Experience obtaining concurrence NHPA Section 106 findings and serving as archaeology lead for the full cycle of Section 106 review.

Responsibilities

• Work on environmental compliance and cultural resource management projects, including client contact and budget control.
• Lead or participate in NRHP investigations and develop management recommendations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to solve problems with regulatory knowledge.
• Support long-term client objectives from planning through maintenance.
