Job summary

Chronicle Heritage seeks a Senior Archaeologist/Project Manager for our Portland office with a remote option. You will guide technical studies, oversee field and desktop research, manage teams, and ensure regulatory compliance for CRM projects.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years leading survey and data recovery efforts, strong CRM knowledge, and proven client liaison abilities, with a valid driver's license. This is a full-time role with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in archaeology, anthropology, or a closely related field.
• 5+ years of experience managing survey, testing, and data recovery projects.
• 2+ years of experience as PM or PI on survey, testing, and data recovery projects.
• Knowledge of CRM principles, laws, and regulations.
• Experience in building client and interagency relationships.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical studies and ensure high-quality, on-time deliverables.
• Oversee field and desktop research and impact analyses with teams.
• Provide technical and interdisciplinary team oversight.
• Quality control deliverables and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Train and mentor staff and support professional development.
• Interface with clients and external stakeholders.
• Keep updated on CRM regulations and industry trends.
• Demonstrate technical excellence in area of expertise.
• Oversee field investigations of proposed sites for resources.
• Direct data collection, analysis, and interpretation; propose solutions.
• Develop new business relationships and pursue proposals and contracts.
