Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in archaeology.
• Must meet the Secretary of the Interiors Qualification Standards for Archaeologists.
• Regional experience in historic and/or prehistoric archaeology.
• Experience leading a project team from start to finish.
• Demonstrated skills and supervisory experience in Phase I-III fieldwork.
• Must provide a writing sample from a thesis, dissertation, or archaeological report.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Registered Professional Archaeologist or ability to become registered.
• Experience with Federal Agencies and Tribal Nations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduling, managing, and conducting Phase I-III fieldwork and research.
• Write archaeological reports under the direction of the Section Head.
• Identify artifacts and determine the presence of archaeological sites.
• Collect data and field samples during investigations.
• Analyze historic and pre-historic artifacts.
• Document methodologies and findings of investigations.
• Assist in project decisions and resolution of adverse effects.
• Coordinate with clients to ensure quality standards and budget adherence.

Education
