Qualifications
8+ years of experience in archaeology.
Must meet the Secretary of the Interiors Qualification Standards for Archaeologists.
Regional experience in historic and/or prehistoric archaeology.
Experience leading a project team from start to finish.
Demonstrated skills and supervisory experience in Phase I-III fieldwork.
Must provide a writing sample from a thesis, dissertation, or archaeological report.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Registered Professional Archaeologist or ability to become registered.
Experience with Federal Agencies and Tribal Nations.
Responsibilities
Conduct scheduling, managing, and conducting Phase I-III fieldwork and research.
Write archaeological reports under the direction of the Section Head.
Identify artifacts and determine the presence of archaeological sites.
Collect data and field samples during investigations.
Analyze historic and pre-historic artifacts.
Document methodologies and findings of investigations.
Assist in project decisions and resolution of adverse effects.
Coordinate with clients to ensure quality standards and budget adherence.

Education
Masters Degree in anthropology or closely related field
