Environmental Science Associates (ESA) is a 100% employee-owned environmental consulting firm with a 50-year history and offices across California and beyond. We seek a mid-level Archaeologist with 5+ years of experience to manage cultural resources projects in Southern California as part of an interdisciplinary team.

This full-time exempt hybrid role requires in-office work 1-2 days/week at ESA offices in Irvine, LA, Pasadena, Rancho Cucamonga, San Diego, Thousand Oaks, or Santa Barbara.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree or higher in archaeology, geoarchaeology, or closely related field.
• Ability to lead survey crews and produce well-written, technically supported reports.
• Strong understanding of CEQA; NEPA and NHPA Section 106 knowledge a plus.

Aufgaben

• Independently manage archaeological resources assessments.
• Lead archaeological resources survey.
• Lead archaeological resources portions of multi-disciplinary projects.
• Develop historic and cultural contexts and documentation.
• Prepare MND and EIR sections and mitigation.
• Mentor junior staff when appropriate.
• Attend client meetings and coordinate with partners.
• Develop scopes of work and budgets for projects.
