Job summary

National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions) partners with the National Park Service to place experienced workers 55+ in the ESP program. Qualifications

• Must be 55+.
• MA/MS in anthropology or related discipline with specific coursework in archaeology.
• Six semester hours in geography, history, environmental studies, or related fields; professional standards may apply.
• Meets Secretary of the Interior’s Professional Qualification Standards; proficient with ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.

Responsibilities

• Support archaeological monitoring in Big Bend National Park.
• Update GIS databases and park-wide compliance maps.
• Perform annual cultural resource site assessments.
• Re-establish field maps for site assessments.
• Update CRIS database and assist with eligibility determinations.
• Plan and conduct archaeological research for planning documents.
• Incorporate GIS technology for data analysis and presentation.
