Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a mid to senior-level Archaeologist/Cultural Resources Specialist to serve as a Principal Investigator in the Northeast U.S. Cultural Resources team. You will oversee junior staff and field crews, manage client programs, and provide QA planning and review for cultural resources work.

You will lead field assessments, conduct fieldwork, and mentor staff, with travel up to 40% and a requirement for knowledge of GPS systems in the Northeast region.

Qualifications

• Meets the Secretary of the Interior’s Professional Qualifications Standards in archaeology.
• Proven experience supervising field crews.
• Experience with Pre-Contact, Historic, and Industrial Archaeology.

Responsibilities

• Serve as PI for Northeast U.S. projects and oversee junior staff and field crews.
• Provide QA planning and review for cultural resources work.
• Lead field assessments and manage archaeological field staff and subcontractors.
• Prepare technical analyses and project documents; mentor junior staff.
