Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a mid- to senior-level Archaeologist/Cultural Resources Specialist in the Northeast U.S. You will serve as a Principal Investigator (PI) within the Northeast U.S. Cultural Resources team, providing oversight for junior staff and field crews and assisting with client-specific programs.

You will also conduct fieldwork, lead field assessments, and manage archaeologists and subcontractors, with up to 40% travel. Strong writing and senior review skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in archaeology or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of cultural resources management experience (field and office).
• Knowledge of Pre-Contact, Historic, and Industrial Archaeology.
• Experience with NHPA Section 106 compliance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as PI for Northeast U.S. cultural resources projects.
• Supervise field crews and mentor junior staff.
• Lead field assessments and manage archaeological fieldwork (Phases I-III).
• Provide QA review of project documents and technical analyses.
• Travel up to 40%, including overnight stays.
