Job summary

Georgia Department of Transportation is seeking a GIS software developer within the IT Applications Enterprise GIS Team to design and deliver Esri ArcGIS web applications and services for the GDOT enterprise.

You will collaborate with administrators, developers, and business units, perform testing, maintenance, upgrades, and support, and follow internal SLDC and best practices. This is a contract role ending at the Georgia DOT fiscal year with possible renewal.

Qualifications

• Experience developing Esri ArcGIS web applications and services.
• Proven ability to test, debug, and ensure quality of GIS solutions.
• Ability to collaborate with IT teams and business units.

Responsibilities

• Develops Esri ArcGIS web applications, web services, mobile, and enterprise solutions.
• Develops GIS geoprocessing and web services.
• Develops GIS web editing/mapping applications.
• Performs performance, unit, system, integration, and QA testing.
• Maintains and upgrades existing applications/services.
• Supports end users and documents support procedures.
• Collaborates with other developers and architects.
• Estimates work effort and proposes development solutions.
• Assists integration of Esri Roads and Highways and Agile Assets.
• Follows GDOT SLDC standards and best practices.
