Job summary

Inversion is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager of Arc Vehicle Reentry to lead a multi-disciplinary team responsible for the aerothermal and structural performance of our reentry vehicle. This role involves overseeing technical development and testing of hypersonic systems, budget management, and team leadership.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, along with extensive experience in aerospace vehicle design and leadership. The position is based at our headquarters in Playa Vista, CA, requiring in-office presence.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of technical experience in aerospace vehicle design, structural engineering, GNC, or aerothermodynamics.
• 3+ years of formal people-management experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations, roadmaps, and budget allocation for the Arc Reentry organization.
• Own the technical delivery of the Arc primary vehicle structure and aerodynamic shape.
• Coordinate with the centralized Reentry functional group for core analysis.
