Job summary

SBA Communications Corporation in Boca Raton, FL seeks an Accounts Receivable/Collections professional to research discrepancies, manage assigned accounts, and reduce delinquency. This role requires bilingual ability (Portuguese preferred; Spanish as a secondary language) and a solid foundation in accounting practices.

Qualified candidates will have 3–5 years of AR/collections experience, an associates degree (or higher in accounting/finance), and proficiency with Great Plains and Microsoft

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma/GED required
• Associates Degree preferred in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3-5 years of Accounts Receivable, Reconciliation and/or Collections experience
• Knowledge of General Accounting principles and practices
• Demonstrated knowledge in researching and reconciling techniques
• Experience in reading and interpreting contracts (leases)
• Proficiency working with Great Plains preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge and advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

• Review and research a high volume of transactions, identifying root causes of discrepancies and recognize solutions
• Provide customer service regarding collection issues
• Monitor and maintain assigned accounts - customer calls, account adjustments/refunds, and customer reconciliations
• Resolve client discrepancies and short payments
• Reduce delinquency for assigned portfolio with regular collection calls and correspondence
• Work with local market team on collection matters including legal collections
• Other projects and duties as assigned
