Job summary

Petco is looking for a dedicated associate to care for freshwater and marine aquatic life in our Pet Care Center, ensuring high standards of animal health and guest service. The role requires one year of aquatic life experience, strong communication, and a customer-focused approach.

You will perform maintenance, place orders, assist guests, and support inventory and housekeeping tasks in a fast-paced retail environment. Evening/weekend availability is often needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience with freshwater or marine aquatic life.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure aquatic life in PCC are cared for per guidelines and complete incident reports as needed.
• Complete training programs to maintain expertise in aquatic care and educate PCC partners.
• Place aquatic life orders and special requests to meet customer needs and maximize sales.
• Support guests and PCC partners with aquatic education and care using our selling model.
• Contribute to inventory counts and analyze data to suggest improvements in department operations.
• Maintain neat, stocked, and clearly priced displays and perform routine housekeeping.
