Job summary

Montgomery County is seeking an experienced Supervisory Social Worker for the Adult Protective Services program within Aging & Disability Services. The role focuses on protective services for older adults and adults with disabilities, with oversight of investigations, crisis intervention, and case management.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work (MSW) from an accredited program.
• Four years of full-time experience performing advanced journey-level social work case management.
• At least one year in a supervisory or lead capacity supervising staff.
• Licensing: LCSW-C and Maryland Approved Supervisor status is required if supervising clinical staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervise up to 8 APS employees and attached administrative staff.
• Provide direct and regular clinical supervision to APS social workers and nurses.
• Coordinate staff development, interdisciplinary staffing, and EVAATF meetings.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners on protective services for adults with disabilities or the frail elderly.
