Amazon's ATG Security team in Culver City is hiring a Senior Application Security Engineer to embed security into scalable services and platforms. You will drive secure software practices across engineering teams and mentor security champions.

You will review threat models, conduct code reviews, and guide developers to build with security in mind, including next-generation GenAI security considerations, while balancing risk and product speed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of work identifying security issues and developing mitigation plans.
• 4+ years of scripting, programming, and security code review in common languages.
• 3+ years across at least 5 security domains: application security, code reviews, incident response, security infrastructure, penetration testing, mobile security, cloud security, AI security, or identity and access controls.
• Experience mentoring, tech lead or leading an engineering team.
• Experience threat modeling or risk identification techniques.
• Experience with security in service-oriented architectures/microservices and web services.
• Experience architecting, securing, and operating AWS.

Responsabilités

• Provide durable, technical security guidance to mitigate identified risks.
• Review existing processes and suggest improvements for increased security and efficiency.
• Independently solve security problems that require novel methods or approaches.
• Embrace GenAI and the security challenges it brings, to guide builders in building leveraging GenAI securely.
• Participate in and support application security reviews that include threat modeling, code review, and security testing.
• Mentor and guide security champions embedded throughout the engineering team.
