Job summary

Apollo.io is seeking a Senior Application Security Engineer II to strengthen its secure software development lifecycle across product, platform, and AI-powered features. This role blends code-level security work with cross-functional partnership.

You will conduct security reviews, threat modeling, and work on AppSec tooling, vulnerability management, and AI security. You will own semi-annual or annual goals and drive cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering or application security experience.
• Strong deep code review, penetration testing, and exploit-oriented validation.
• Linux and cloud fundamentals, preferably with GCP-backed environments.
• Experience handling findings from bug bounty, pentests, internal reviews, or automated security tooling.
• Experience using AI-assisted tools to improve engineering or security processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication across technical and non-technical partners.

Responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve the secure SDLC for Apollo applications.
• Perform application security reviews, threat modeling, and deep code-level analysis for high-impact product features.
• Provide practical security architecture guidance to Engineering, Product, and IT teams.
• Help define and maintain application-security guardrails, secure design expectations, code review standards, and risk models.
• Drive remediation through triage, verification, and SLA-driven actions.
