Job summary

Mississippi Department of Human Services seeks an experienced ApplinX Web Developer to maintain and support modernization efforts for JAWS and MAVERICS legacy applications. You will collaborate with MDHS staff to implement changes, test, and transfer knowledge for ongoing support.

The role requires 7+ years of Java development, ApplinX expertise, and strong HTML/CSS/JS skills, with Agile practices and QA testing ensuring high-performing web solutions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Java development.
• Hands-on experience developing and maintaining ApplinX solutions.
• Experience with ApplinX Version 11 or later.
• Strong experience with ApplinX servers, Designer seats, applications, web applications, and NATAPX hosts.
• Experience gathering and formulating business requirements with customers.
• Knowledge of Agile software development.
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Experience with SOAP/REST web services.
• Programming experience in Java or Microsoft .NET
• Strong analytical skills for developing well-performing websites
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
• Experience with QA/testing

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support existing ApplinX web modernization solutions for JAWS and MAVERICS legacy applications.
• Manage ApplinX servers, Designer seats, applications, web applications, and NATAPX hosts.
• Develop and maintain web solutions using Java, JSP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Build and support integrations using SOAP/REST web services.
• Analyze business requirements and work directly with customers and MDHS staff.
• Perform QA testing, troubleshooting, implementation, and limited enhancements.
• Collaborate with MDHS staff and provide knowledge transfer for ongoing support.
