Amazon.com’s Product Detail Page team is hiring an Applied Scientist to help design and develop a scalable multi-tiered shopping experience for customers worldwide.

You will work on next-generation optimization algorithms, combine machine learning with econometric techniques, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities across Detail Page and related widgets. The role emphasizes rigorous experimentation, data-driven decisions, and presenting results to leadership.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of building machine learning models for business application experience.
• PhD, or Master’s degree
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
• Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize the next generation of Detail Page algorithms.
• Present ideas and results to Amazon executives on a regular basis.
• Collaborate with senior scientists to set company-wide technical standards in optimization, modeling and analytics.
• Work with multiple Amazon businesses to identify big opportunities and features.
