Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Applied Scientist to help re-imagine the shopping experience with state-of-the-art LLM-based techniques and transformer models to understand customer intent and personalize content. You will join a multidisciplinary team and deliver new features that impact customer experience, building large-scale real-time ranking systems and deployments across Amazon's global customer base.

Qualifications

3+ years of building models for business applications.
PhD, or Master's degree and 4+ years of CS, CE, ML or related field experience.
Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.
Experience in algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, high-performance computing.

Responsibilities

Deliver new features and models that have huge impact on the customer experience. Build ML models for scalable ranking and personalization across Amazon's ecosystem.
Work with a multidisciplinary team to see ideas from inception to launch and impact millions of customers.
Propose and innovate on the science roadmap across multiple projects.
