Job summary

Quilter is hiring Senior to Staff Applied Scientists and Software Engineers to advance automated PCB design. You will design, implement, and test state-of-the-art algorithms for computational geometry, optimization, HPC, and physics simulation.

As a senior member, you’ll shape the technical roadmap, mentor peers, and build the foundation for superhuman PCB design. You’ll work on core learning algorithms, differential geometry, optimization, GPU/CPU performance, and fast physics simulations,

Qualifications

• 3 to 10+ years of industry experience maintaining and extending large, high-performance codebases.
• Strong academic background in applied mathematics with deep expertise in optimization, ML, computational geometry, graph theory, HPC, meshing or numerical methods.
• Proficiency in Python for prototyping and ML integration.
• Strong leadership skills: ownership, hiring, mentoring and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Drive applied research toward the next breakthrough in PCB design.
• Architect, implement and test high-performance libraries in Python, C++, Mojo, TypeScript, etc.
• Lead by example: mentor engineers, give technical reviews and raise engineering practices.
