Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in a quantitative field and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and Python production code experience.
• Hands-on with deep learning toolkits such as JAX, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
• Proven track record training or deploying large models in production.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship MT and LLM-based systems powering Localization across Apple Services.
• Turn prototypes into production by building serving, inference, and data pipelines at scale.
• Integrate ML models into Apple Systems and APIs with cross-team collaboration.
• Drive applied research including LLM fine-tuning and model compression.
• Build evaluation infra to measure translation quality and system performance.
• Communicate results and trade-offs clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to publications and patents where applicable.
