Job summary

Apple Inc. in Seattle is seeking a senior Platform Engineer to design and deliver systems that integrate Large Language Models into Apple Intelligence and Private Cloud Compute.

You will architect distributed components, ensure reliability, and enable teams to deploy ML-powered features at scale. You will collaborate cross-functionally with product, infrastructure, and security teams, mentor engineers, and map how changes propagate across the platform while adapting to rapidly evolving

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building and operating production systems.
• Strong background in distributed systems with scale, concurrency, and failure mode reasoning.
• Proven experience designing internal tools, automation, and service-level components.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain runtime services, APIs, tooling, and automation for model consumption, deployment, versioning, evaluation, and monitoring.
• Drive architectural decisions for distributed systems involved in model serving, prioritizing reliability and observability.
• Collaborate across product, infrastructure, security, and engineering teams to align on technical direction and architectural decisions.
