Job summary

Faire is seeking a Senior Applied AI/ML Scientist to own modeling and measurement that keeps our marketplace trustworthy for hundreds of thousands of brands and retailers. You will tackle product matching, pricing integrity, and entity resolution at scale using multi-modal LLMs and advanced ML techniques.

You will collaborate across product, engineering, and operations, driving projects from framing to production while improving detection and enforcement mechanisms.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industry experience using machine learning to solve real-world problems.
• Experience with e-commerce, marketplaces, catalog/content quality, search, or personalization.
• Experience with deep learning and LLMs, computer vision, information extraction, entity resolution, ranking, and/or experimentation/causal inference.
• Strong programming skills.
• Willingness to learn new tools and techniques.
• Ability to drive a project end-to-end and lead model development with limited supervision.
• Strong communication skills and cross-functional collaboration between teams.

Responsibilities

• Own applied ML projects end-to-end: framing the problem, building and shipping the model, and measuring impact on the marketplace.
• Build and improve pricing-integrity models comparing Faire listings to external signals with calibrated confidence.
• Solve product matching and entity resolution at scale, linking the catalog to external listings through embeddings and multi-modal LLMs.
• Extract structured attributes from unstructured listing content to power detection and enrichment.
• Turn model scores into actionable ranking with constrained review budgets.
• Design audits, generate training labels, set precision bars, and close the loop from review outcomes.
• Design experiments for enforcement levers and measure impact on retailer trust and GMV.
• Partner with product, engineering, operations, and analytics to ship models into production.
