Job summary

TechTree in San Francisco is seeking a Senior Applied AI Engineer to own and scale agent systems from architecture to deployment. You will ensure fast, reliable, and observable performance while collaborating with infra, frontend, and product teams to deliver robust AI-powered tooling.

You should have 4+ years shipping production software, with hands-on experience in multi-step LLM pipelines, tool-using bots, or similar. Bonus for prior founder/leadership experience and LLM ops exposure.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of engineering experience with production software.
• Built and deployed agent-like systems: multi-step LLM pipelines or tool-using bots.
• Experience running at least one system in production and explaining tradeoffs.
• Hands-on with agent orchestration and memory management.
• Experience with API calls, plugins, and auth flows.
• Strong focus on measurable evaluation and regression testing.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve agent systems from architecture to deployment.
• Ensure fast response times, reliability, and traceability.
• Collaborate across infra, frontend, and product.
• Review code and design docs to raise quality.
• Ship features with a bias toward shipping over perfection.
