Job summary

Innova Solutions seeks a Lead Applied AI Engineer for a full-time contract role based in Tampa, FL (hybrid with Nashville).

You will lead the design and delivery of AI-enabled solutions leveraging LLMs, RAG, vector databases, and AI orchestration within enterprise environments.

The role requires deep AI literacy, governance awareness, and hands-on coding in Python and/or .NET, plus strong collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Experience building AI-enabled solutions in enterprise environments.
• Understanding of Responsible AI principles, governance, security, privacy, transparency, human oversight, and model evaluation best practices.
• Ability to evaluate AI-generated outputs and apply human judgment to determine appropriate use cases.
• Hands-on experience with Python and/or .NET for developing AI-enabled applications and services.
• Continual learner with a passion for emerging AI technologies and trends.

Responsibilities

• Build, deliver, or support AI-enabled solutions using LLMs, Generative AI, AI Agents, RAG, vector databases, and orchestration frameworks.
• Apply Responsible AI principles including governance, security, privacy, transparency, and human oversight.
• Improve productivity and automate routine tasks using AI tools and assistants.
• Evaluate AI outputs with critical thinking and determine appropriate use cases for AI-driven solutions.
• Develop, integrate, deploy, or operate AI-enabled apps in Azure and cloud-native environments.
• Mentor team members and help set engineering standards for AI delivery.
