Are you tired of building AI prototypes that sit on a shelf or getting stuck writing isolated backend microservices?

We are recruiting for a $1.6B healthcare AI platform that acts as the enterprise "AI execution layer" for the nation’s largest health systems, payors, and life sciences enterprises. Operating with an extraordinarily lean team (~130 people driving $100M+ ARR), every engineer here acts as a true founder-type owner.

As a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer (Applied AI), you will own multimillion-dollar client engagements end-to-end—from pre-sales architectural design and executive C-suite presentations down to shipping production code, configuring data pipelines, and implementing agentic fallback loops.

• End-to-End Enterprise Ownership: Partner directly with enterprise account teams to lead technical discovery, build custom proof-of-concept environments, and present system architectures to C-suite stakeholders (think Cigna-level executives).
• System Architecture & Agentic Design: Blueprint HIPAA-compliant production systems from scratch. You'll establish orchestration boundaries, scope APIs, and engineer system fallback and observability loops so AI agents operate reliably in mission-critical environments.
• Heavyweight Data Engineering: Build resilient ETL/ELT data pipelines utilizing PySpark, PostgreSQL, and Redis to ingest, normalize, and enrich high-volume unstructured healthcare data (EHR/EMR, claims, call transcripts, and clinical documents).
• LLM Orchestration & Fallback Mechanics: Deploy multi-agent orchestration frameworks, context management packages, and model routing strategies (Claude, Gemini, vector stores, knowledge graphs).
• Core Product R&D Influence: Spend ~10–20% of your time converting field insights and deployment patterns back into the core platform, directly shaping the platform R&D roadmap.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ to 10+ Years of Hands-On Engineering Experience: Proven track record building, architecting, and shipping production-grade software applications (not just prototypes or LLM wrappers).
• Modern Tech Stack Mastery: Deep proficiency in Python, TypeScript / Node.js, Next.js/React, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Cloud Infrastructure (AWS/GCP, Docker, CI/CD).
• Data Engineering Competency: Hands-on experience building data pipelines, handling ETL/ELT workloads, and processing unstructured/conversational datasets (PySpark, SQL).
• Client-Facing Polish & Executive Presence: Comfort running technical working sessions, presenting architecture diagrams, and communicating trade-offs directly with enterprise C-suite executives.
• Founder Mentality: High agency, low ego, and a desire for end-to-end accountability in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
