Job summary

Laurel, the leading AI Time platform, is seeking an experienced Applied AI Engineer at Senior or Staff level to translate raw activity data into reliable AI features. You will own end-to-end delivery, from problem framing to GA, and work across a cross-functional team to push innovations into production.

You will join a bold, fast-moving AI team that partners with product and platform groups to build robust time-analysis solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of professional software engineering, shipping ML/LLM features.
• Strong in Python and/or TypeScript; experience with modern backend stacks.

Responsibilities

• Own AI features end-to-end from problem statement to GA.
• Move features through prototype to GA with evaluations.
• Build and defend evals with golden datasets and metrics.
• Lead semantic stack development: retrieval semantics and embeddings.
• Collaborate with product and design to define success measures.
• Engage with customers to inform product direction.
