Job summary

Take2 AI, based in NYC, is hiring a Senior Software Engineer, Applied AI to design and scale agentic AI solutions for our healthcare recruiting platform. You will drive end-to-end applied-AI work from prototyping to production, enabling thousands to millions of candidate conversations with real-time inference.

You will own backend services, model selection, and the orchestration infrastructure, collaborating closely with product and founding engineering teams in a high-ownership startup

Qualifications

• 6+ years software engineering with ML/Applied AI experience
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• Shipped multi-agent AI solutions with real-time inference at scale
• Designed agent orchestration, evaluation frameworks, tooling
• Shipped production AI apps with real-time inference
• Built and operated distributed backend systems with monitoring
• Strong Python, JavaScript, Node.js, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker
• 2+ years at early to mid-stage startup (Series B or lower)

Responsibilities

• Design and build applied AI-powered features and agentic workflows in production
• Select, integrate, evaluate, and tune models for quality, latency, cost, and reliability across voice AI pipelines
• Build evaluation, guardrail, and observability systems for measurable AI behavior
• Own backend services and data/inference pipelines serving applied-AI features
• Collaborate with product and engineering to prototype and iterate with ownership over technical direction
