Job summary

Givzey is hiring an Applied AI Engineer to build production AI systems that real customers depend on. You should be comfortable building with LLMs, agents, retrieval pipelines, and workflow orchestration, while also thinking about system design, reliability, testing, deployment, and long-term maintainability.

You will work on agent workflows, retrieval systems, backend APIs, evaluation tooling, observability, and production infrastructure, focusing on reliability, observability, and cost

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building production systems.
• Strong Python proficiency and backend/API experience.
• Experience shipping AI-powered applications in production.
• Experience with LLMs, agents, retrieval systems, and RAG architectures.
• Ability to design scalable, observable, reliable systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain production-grade AI systems.
• Develop agentic workflows using LLMs, retrieval systems, tools, APIs, and backend services.
• Build backend services, orchestration systems, and infrastructure for AI-powered workflows.
• Design and implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems and pipelines.
• Develop prompting strategies and evaluation tooling for production use cases.
• Monitor and improve production AI systems for quality and cost efficiency.
• Mentor and collaborate with engineers across software and AI disciplines.
