Job summary

Interclypse, Inc. in Maryland is seeking a software engineer to contribute to information systems design and large-scale application development.

You will translate detailed design into robust software, test, debug, and document the results, working onsite at Maryland locations. The role requires a BS in CS or related field (MS preferred) and 5 years of experience in information systems design and DBMS programming.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, business, or related field or three years of equivalent experience. Master’s degree preferred.
• Five years of computer experience in information systems design.
• Three years of experience as an application programmer on large-scale DBMS, knowledge of computer equipment, and ability to develop complex software to satisfy design objectives.

Responsibilities

• Developing block diagrams and logic flowcharts.
• Translating detailed design into computer software.
• Testing, debugging, and refining the computer software to produce the required product.
• Preparing required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation.
• Enhancing software to reduce operating time or improve efficiency; and
• Providing technical direction to programmers as required to ensure program deadlines are met.
