Job summary

The City of Minneapolis is seeking a Senior Applications Analyst to lead a team of Applications Analysts, Programmer Analysts and related roles. The role focuses on development, maintenance, support, testing and documentation of the city’s applications, with responsibility for ensuring alignment with enterprise processes.

The position requires hands-on analysis and design, strong vendor coordination, and mentoring of staff in a collaborative, Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in MIS/CS/SE or equivalent.
• Six years of experience with application development support using specified tools.
• System Administrator Certification required; resume and certification copy must be attached.
• Resume required and certification attached for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, maintenance, support, testing and documentation of city applications.
• Evaluate and implement new functionality and enhancements within city processes.
• Coordinate releases and vendor fixes for enterprise software.
• Provide subject matter expertise and mentor staff in application areas and testing.
• Promote Agile practices in intake, prioritization and execution of work.
• Act as liaison between customers and IT staff to ensure effective delivery.
