Job summary

BTS Software Solutions is seeking an Applications Engineer III with an active TS/SCI w/ POLY to join our Ft. Meade team in Maryland. You will design software tools and subsystems, manage development with formal specifications, and estimate costs and schedules.

You will lead testing, documentation, and ensure quality across the IC GovCloud-related solutions, collaborating with government and internal teams. An active clearance is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Requires 15 years in computer science or software engineering.
• Bachelor's degree required; 4 years additional SWE experience may substitute for degree.

Responsibilities

• Designs software tools and subsystems for reuse and domain analyses.
• Manages software development using formal specifications and CASE tools.
• Estimates software development costs and schedule.
• Reviews existing programs and refines to improve performance.
• Defines specifications for software applications or modifies existing ones.
• Responsible for design, coding, testing, and documentation.
• Instructs and checks work of other personnel.
• Ensures quality assurance and evaluates new software products.
• Collaborates with stakeholders for tool implementation and integration.
• Deploys security tool solutions across environments.
• Supports training on deployed tool capabilities.
