Job summary

Synopsys, Inc. is seeking a Senior Staff Application Engineer with deep VLSI design expertise to help customers integrate Interface IP into complex SoCs and achieve silicon bring‑up milestones.

The role spans RTL, verification and system integration, providing hands‑on debugging, technical reviews, and collaboration with R&D, product and field teams. Occasional travel to customer sites is expected.

Qualifications

• BSEE/BSCE or MSEE/MSCE with 6+ years of VLSI design experience.
• Experience in design, verification, or application engineering.
• Proficiency in RTL coding using Verilog and/or VHDL.
• Experience with Ethernet, DDR, and PCIe high‑speed protocols.
• Hands-on experience with simulation, synthesis, and static timing analysis.
• Familiarity with UNIX environments and ASIC/SoC tape‑out processes.
• Knowledge of CDC, RDC, lint, DFT, STA, and LEC is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support Interface IP customers with integration across the SoC design flow.
• Provide technical guidance to resolve integration, implementation, and debug challenges.
• Assist with technical reviews at milestones and help customers work through issues efficiently.
• Support silicon and system bring‑up, including hands‑on debugging of critical issues.
• Partner with R&D, product teams, and field teams to deliver customer‑aligned solutions.
• Stay current on evolving industry standards, protocol requirements, and application trends across key market segments.
• Travel to support customer engagements as needed.
