Job summary

Daniel Defense is seeking an Applications Engineer 2 in Black Creek, GA to design, develop, program, and troubleshoot PLC-based automation systems for our manufacturing lines. The role includes building HMI interfaces, integrating robotics, and maintaining documentation and safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Automation and at least 3 years of hands-on automation experience, with strong problem-solving and project management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical/Automation/Controls field.
• 3+ years hands‑on experience in industrial automation or automated manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, programming, modification and troubleshooting of PLC‑based automation systems.
• Develop and maintain HMI interfaces for operation, diagnostics, and production monitoring.
• Configure and troubleshoot Allen‑Bradley ControlLogix/CompactLogix PLCs and Rockwell Studio 5000.
• Integrate robotics with PLC architectures and support robot commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Establish standardized controls practices, documentation, and reusable code structures.
