Job summary

JR Automation, a Hitachi Group Company, is seeking an experienced Applications Engineer for a hybrid role at our Auburn Hills, MI location. You will review customer specs, develop system concepts, and prepare competitive proposals while coordinating large quotes across business units.

You will mentor junior engineers, support account managers, and drive winning bids. A bachelor’s degree in engineering and strong Mechatronics/Body in White experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry experience leading successful projects.
• Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field or related industry experience.
• Mechanical or Mechatronics engineer strongly preferred.
• Experience in sales and/or customer interaction.

Responsibilities

• Review customer specifications to develop system concepts, costs, risk assessments, and proposals.
• Coordinate and execute large multi-business unit quotes.
• Develop internal win strategies and facilitate quote packages.
• Render conceptual solutions in various CAD formats.
• Lead kickoff meetings and facilitate tollgate meetings.
• Maintain AE CRM fields and support account managers.
