Job summary

Alpha and Omega Semiconductor, Inc is seeking a skilled engineer to drive power MOSFET definitions, validation and promotion across DC/DC converter applications.

You will work with cross-functional teams, build evaluation boards, perform system simulations and benchmark rival parts while contributing to product promotion and customer insights.

Qualifications

• MS (Ph.D. preferred) in Electrical Engineering.
• Knowledgeable in power conversion topologies, power devices, magnetics and control loop design.
• Lab skills with oscilloscope, function generators and test equipment.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, SIMetrix, Pspice/Ltspice, Ansys.
• Good communication skills.
• Team player.

Responsibilities

• Specify key MOSFET parameters for DC/DC converters.
• Validate power device performance in DC/DC converters.
• Gain customer and application knowledge and understand MOSFET usage in end application.
• Benchmarking of competitor parts and writing promotion materials such as evaluation report, application notes.
• Evaluation board built up.
• System simulation model built up.

Overall Purpose of the Position

This position will work with cross functional teams for power MOSFET product definition, validation, promotion and trouble shooting. Must have knowledge of power electronics, Si device field, hands-on development experience in prototype built in MHz DC/DC converter.
