Job summary

ServiceNow is seeking a Senior AI UI Engineer to own end-to-end development for AI-first user interfaces within the AIUX team. You will shape architecture, integrate AI, ensure performance, and coordinate across multiple teams to deliver modular, scalable web components.

You will mentor peers, design reusable components, and apply strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and modern UI frameworks to build extensible product features.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with Java or similar OO language (C++, C#, Go equivalent acceptable).
• Passion for JavaScript and the Web as a platform, reusability, and componentization.
• Advanced experience with modern UI frameworks: Angular, React, Vue, or Lit.
• Advanced knowledge of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance/scale considerations.
• Advanced knowledge and experience with relational databases: development, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Demonstrated capability to manage multiple projects with material technical risk across teams and processes.
• Track record serving as functional lead or technical owner.

Job Description

We are the AI Experience Framework (AIUX) team that powers ServiceNow's AI-first user interfaces. Using modern Lit-based web components, AIUX builds modular, reusable conversational experiences that serve as the technical foundation for conversation-first applications like Employee Slate. This role owns full-stack architectural decisions in a modern JavaScript/component-driven environment, working across AI integration, performance scale, and multi-team coordination.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

To be successful in this role you have:

• Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving (may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the industry)

FD21

For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $143,200 - $243,400, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs. Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located and is subject to change based on work location.
