Job summary

Citi in Houston is seeking an Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst to contribute to design, analysis, and programming of enterprise applications in the commodities space, with emphasis on Openlink Endur.

In this role you’ll work with technology teams to plan, develop, test, and implement new or revised systems, provide user support, and advise on best practices while operating with limited supervision.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications.
• Experience in managing and implementing successful projects.
• Working knowledge of consulting/project management techniques/methods.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk analysis, and develop/implement new or revised applications.
• Monitor all phases of development lifecycle and provide user and operational support.
• Analyze complex problems and evaluate business and system processes against standards.
• Recommend security measures and ensure compliant system design.
• Consult with users and tech groups on issues and propose advanced programming solutions.
• Define operating standards and assist in coaching junior analysts.
• Operate with limited supervision and exercise independent judgement.
• Act as SME to stakeholders and escalate/report control issues transparently.
