This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located at customer’s site.

AT&T has an opening for a Senior Applications Developer to support the day‑to‑day IT systems for our customized network solution in support of the federal government.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

This individual is a key member of the Applications Development team and is responsible for implementing the ServiceNow application to include, at a minimum, the ServiceNow IT Service Management suite and the platform. This individual works alongside supporting team members, partners/vendors, as well as Senior Leadership, to lead the design, development, testing, deployment, sustainment, and administration of the ServiceNow solution. They perform technical aspects of the ServiceNow implementation including service‑now solution architecture, installation, application UI, process automation, external integrations, access control, security hardening, workflow design and configuration, reporting, upgrades and patching. They also provide ServiceNow focused consultation and technical leadership, support the Technical Exchange Meetings, contribute to user‑facing documents, and are responsible for ServiceNow applications upkeep.

  • Performs designing, programming, testing and debugging ServiceNow and applicable scripts
  • Performs capacity planning, system tuning, problem analysis and hardware/software upgrades
  • Develops administrative policies, documentation, and procedures to ensure that ServiceNow is properly maintained and operated
  • Performs testing and establishes system acceptance criteria on new or current hardware and software
  • Builds service requests from customer requirements, request items and tasks
  • Determines training needs and develops ServiceNow‑based guidelines tailored to the work environment
  • Builds client profiles and system configurations for software distribution equipment
  • Responds to system alerts and engages in troubleshooting and problem resolution
  • Uses workflows to manage data flows from customers to support teams
  • Uses scripting tools to process automation and perform integration
  • Imports and exports data across various enterprise applications
  • Performs system and integration testing with sample and live data
  • Monitors the health and status of ServiceNow and applicable scripts
  • Works with IT managers to generate views and reports as needed
  • Analyzes user requirements and current procedures to improve system capabilities
  • Installs software releases and maintains data confidentiality, integrity, and availability
  • Consults with clients, hardware and software vendors, users, system administrators, and engineers
  • Provides technical support for development, test and production environments
  • Has experience in Linux/Unix System Administration
  • Has experience in managing a Self‑Hosted ServiceNow instance and upgrading ServiceNow Core applications
  • Assesses existing ServiceNow usage and recommends forward evolution to maximize efficiencies
  • Performs integrations and process automation using ServiceNow Orchestration
  • Understands ITIL/ITSM processes
  • Understands HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web technologies
  • Must be knowledgeable in the support and development of ServiceNow, Splunk, Nlyte, VMware, Ansible, etc.

Required Qualifications
  • Five (5) years of experience as a Developer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity are required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited college or university, a developer nanodegree, or equivalent work experience, is required.
  • Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Must comply with DoD 8570 IAT, Level 2 (Security+).
  • Must be US Citizen.
