Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a Senior Application Analyst responsible for analysis, building, testing, and implementation of information systems and solutions. This role functions as a technical resource across complex environments and leads project planning, timelines, and training for end-users and staff.

The Senior Application Analyst is responsible for the analysis, building, testing, and implementation of information systems and solutions. The analyst is accountable for providing expertise in assigned software applications and various system environments. The role includes developing and following project schedules, plans, reviews, and timelines; functioning as a technical resource; and providing knowledge in system installations, building, testing, customization and production support of complex information systems. The analyst participates in project teams, coordinates work assignments, resolves complex problems, designs training plans, conducts and evaluates training sessions for end‑users and information systems staff, and may lead or support project management activities. The analyst reports directly to the Manager and works under the guidance of the Lead Application Analyst.
The analyst applies technical skills in line with Memorial Hermann’s values and goals to ensure efficient, effective, and consistent delivery of high‑quality services and demonstrates a commitment to corporate values through participation in care and quality improvement programs.
Provide technical knowledge in support of software applications and various system environments. Perform analysis, design, building, testing, and implementation of computer programs and systems. Apply information systems theory, processes, and methodologies.
Develop, prioritize, and execute projects according to established schedules and timeframes. Maintain effective coordination on assigned projects, document and report plans, priorities, and schedules, and provide weekly activity reports to the manager.
Translate user system needs into alternative technical solutions. Perform project reviews and process walkthroughs incorporating technical and business solutions to enhance user productivity and department service levels.
Advocate for setting and enforcing technical development, application support, and information management standards within and outside the information systems department.
Support Application Analysts and Senior Application Analysts in development projects and complex problem‑solving efforts. Participate in after‑hours technical support by rotating call schedule.
Prepare and conduct training sessions for staff to ensure proficiency in the use of computer programs and systems.
Provide courteous, polite, and friendly customer service, acknowledge customers immediately, determine needs, and help resolve issues or requests.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. Ensure safe care to patients, staff, and visitors; adhere to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications. Promote professional growth, meet mandatory/continuing education requirements, serve as preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff, and demonstrate a commitment to caring for every community member.
