Job summary

California Department of Public Health (CDPH) seeks an Information Technology Specialist III to lead architecture and development of complex statewide applications. The role partners with infrastructure and security to guide cloud adoption, SaaS strategy, and governance across critical health IT systems.

The ITS III will drive the secure development lifecycle, ensure alignment with state business goals, and deliver responsive, scalable solutions for CDPH operations and services.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop some of CDPH's most complex statewide systems.
• Lead enterprise application architecture and secure development lifecycle standards.
• Define and implement the Department's cloud and SaaS strategies in coordination with infrastructure and security teams.
• Participate in enterprise technology governance and ensure data interoperability across systems.
