Job summary

Prudential Financial, Inc. is seeking a Lead, Application Security to shape and mature our modern security program. You will partner with senior leadership, secure cloud-native environments, and embed security into CI/CD pipelines through automation and self-service enablement.

You will act as a senior technical authority, drive risk reduction, and translate complex security concepts for engineering teams while aligning with regulatory frameworks such as SOX, NIST, and PCI DSS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in computer science/engineering.
• Deep familiarity with vulnerability/security frameworks and data sources (CVE, CVSS, EPSS, CWE).
• Experience leading and maturing application security and vulnerability management programs.
• Ability to partner with engineering teams to validate findings and drive remediation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead and escalation point for AppSec and vulnerability mgmt domains.
• Lead design, evolution, and execution of AppSec assessment, response, and risk governance.
• Embed security controls into CI/CD pipelines through automation.
• Partner with senior leadership to define future-state vision for Pruden tial's AppSec program.
• Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and alerting aligned to SOX/NIST/PCI DSS.
• Mentor junior team members and drive secure-by-design across SDLC.
