Target is seeking a Principal Application Security Engineer to lead our enterprise security program. You will guide Secure SDLC practices, promote secure coding, and partner with engineering teams to reduce risk with scalable security solutions.

The role requires deep technical leadership, experience shaping security strategy at scale, and a focus on automating security within modern development workflows. Hybrid work from MN HQ is expected.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering or equivalent industry work experience.
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, application security or related security engineering roles.
• Demonstrated expertise across SSDLC, SAST, DAST, SCA, Threat Modeling, and Penetration Testing.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across SSDLC, SAST, DAST, SCA, Threat Modeling and Penetration Testing.
• Develop and guide secure coding practices and remediation strategies with engineering teams.
• Design automation and tooling to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and improve developer experience.
