Job summary

Datadog is seeking a Senior Security Engineer within Application Security to secure emerging application architectures, including agent-based and LLM-enabled products. You will establish security models, requirements, and controls, partnering with product and platform teams to build secure-by-default approaches.

You will address evolving trust boundaries, runtime behavior, and data access, driving threat modeling, security assessments, and remediation as architectures evolve.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience in a collaborative environment.
• Experience with Go, Rust, or Python.

Responsibilities

• Define security models and guardrails for emerging architectures.
• Design and validate practical security controls to reduce risk.
• Shape authentication, authorization, and data access with least-privilege.
• Partner with product and engineering teams to embed secure-by-default requirements.
• Lead threat modeling and security assessments for new products.
• Prioritize remediation and continuous security testing as architectures evolve.
