Job summary

Danaher seeks a Senior Engineer, Application Security to embed security into the SDLC and product engineering across diverse codebases. You will own hands-on security tasks, secure design reviews, threat modeling, testing, and developer enablement.

The role focuses on SAST/DAST/SCA, IaC and secret scanning in CI/CD, plus architecting secure-by-design patterns and guardrails. Remote work with global teams is supported.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of experience in application/security or security-focused software engineering.
• Hands-on experience embedding security into the SDLC: secure design reviews, threat modeling, code review, and app security testing (SAST, DAST, SCA, IaC and secret scanning).
• Experience with app security tooling integrated into CI/CD pipelines (Snyk, Veracode, Checkmarx, Semgrep, GitHub Advanced Security).
• Travel up to ~15% and willingness to travel.
• Experience working with product engineering teams to remediate vulnerabilities and adopt secure-by-design patterns.

Responsibilities

• Embed security into SDLC and product engineering across multiple codebases.
• Perform secure design reviews and threat modeling.
• Conduct testing (SAST/DAST/SCA/IaC) and enable developers with secure patterns.
• Build guardrails and automation to scale AppSec coverage.
• Support SBOM/OSS-risk processes and vulnerability remediation.
